How We Helped Smart Nonsense Build a 10k+ Email List in 5 Weeks
Overview:
Smart Nonsense is a newsletter company sending daily business and life lessons through an entertaining, comic-themed format. We worked collaboratively with co-founders Henry and Dylan, who have a combined YouTube subscriber base of 1.5 million, with the objective of building a high-impact landing page designed to to drive email sign-ups and developing a custom CMS to house their email content.
With an already established format and a unique and recognisable style on YouTube Shorts, our goal was to create a landing page that built on their existing creator brands to seamlessly transition their audience to another (owned) platform.

Strong social proof: We showed the established audiences already built by the founders and utilised the positive comments and feedback on their content.
Clean design: While incorporating the playful and bold brand identity, we still focused on creating a clean, effective design that is visually engaging while not taking away from the main objective.
Clear CTA’s: The design is focused on conversions and email captures with 1 clear CTA reiterated throughout the landing page.
The Result:
→ In the 5 weeks after launching the landing page, Smart Nonsense gained over 10k email subscribers
→ In just 8 weeks their website received over 290k views
→ With 43.7k views coming from google search
Long term partnership
We continue to work with Smart Nonsense on a retainer basis to update, test and continue to improve on the site as the company evolves.
We also upload the daily emails to the site allowing the founders to focus on creation while we work to ensure the seamless uploading of their content building a strong foundation for the websites traffic.
